About the program
Faculty of Pharmacy provides high level of education compliant with EU Directive 2005/36/ES based on which the study obtained in the Czech republic is recognized in all EU member countries.
All courses are taught fully in English. Students of Master’s degree program Pharmacy can choose from wide range of selective courses which helps them to gain deeper knowledge of areas they’re particularly interested in. The study is practice - oriented, including many laboratory classes and seminars.
Students can also take the opportunity and spend part of their study studying abroad thanks to numerous mobility programs.
After obtaining Master’s degree, graduates can take Advanced Master’s Examination and obtain PharmDr. degree.
Our graduates work in pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies around the world, such as Norway, Germany, USA, Japan, Greece, the Netherlands, UK, Italy etc.
Mode of study
Study program pharmacy is offered ONLY in on-site (present) mode of study. Due to high volume of experimental and practical work it is not possible to provide the courses online.
Tution fee
The tution fee for Master’s study program Pharmacy is set to 6700 EUR per academic year. Students can pay in 2 or 4 instalments.
Practice
Compulsory 6-month pharmacy internship is integral part of study. Students in English Master’s program must undertake at least 1 month of internship in a pharmacy in the Czech Republic. Remaining 5 months of practice can be done anywhere in the world.
The curriculum also offers to students to select other internships in a pharmacy or in a pharmaceutical company.
Conditions of admission
Every applicant must have successfully completed secondary education (i.e. secondary school, high school, college, etc.) resulting in a school-leaving examination, rewarded with a final certificate/ diploma (e.g. A-level certificates, IB diploma, etc.).
All applicants must provide their secondary school results and the final certificate in order to have their secondary education recognized in the Czech Republic during enrolment the latest.
Every applicant must successfully pass the entrance examination tests (see information below).
Applicants must apply on-line via an e-application to be found in IS MUNI (open until 31 Aug 2021). Applicants also have to attach CV in English, verified copy of secondary school certificate and other optional documents (language certificate, transcript of records from previous university study…)
The application fee is 1300 CZK (about 50 EUR).
Entrance Examination Requirements
Entrance examination is mandatory for all applicants. No exceptions are granted. Entrance examination has written online form and consists of test from Biology (40 questions) and Chemistry (40 questions). Correct answer to each question is awarded by 1 point, the maximum possible score is therefore 80 points. The acceptance pass mark is 50% (40 points from both tests in total).
Entrance examinations will be provided in period January – September 2021. Prior to the examinations applicant will be sent an invitation by e-mail. If the applicant cannot attend the entrance examination for serious reasons, upon written request, the examination will be given on an alternative date.
Applications are open until 31 August 2021 (for non-EU applicants it is recommended to apply by 31 May 2021)
