Metalloproteins are enzymes that need metal ions to function correctly. Most of them play a crucial role in metabolically essential processes. Due to this reason, they also make them important factors in the progression of many diseases. Pathologies for which metalloenzymes are implicated include cancer, heart disease, and HIV/AIDS. The main goal of this project is to synthesize new series of potential metalloprotein inhibitors and determination of their biological activity.
