Plant phenolics represent a diverse class of metabolites with a high dietary relevance. These compounds display
a plethora of pharmacological activities, including cytotoxic, antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. In our study we will focus on the evaluation of multiple effects of selected xanthones, targeting inflammation and bacterial infections. The study will contribute to a better understanding of their structure-activity relationship.
