Support for the preparation of international grants
The support is intended for costs associated with the preparation of particularly prestigious and important projects of international providers (e.g. European Commission programmes).
Applications can be submitted throughout the year.
1. Support for the ERC grant submission
We offer workshops and individual consultations with foreign ERC experts to MU scientists during the preliminary mapping phase, during the ERC project preparation phase and also in case of advancement to the second round (interview).
Detailed rules of support are given in the ERC Grant Support Scheme document at MU and the procedure for submitting the ERC project proposals.
2. Support for the submission of other international grants (outside the ERC)
The support for other international projects is awarded in two financially graded categories:
- Preparation of projects where an MU researcher is the main proposer.
- Preparation of projects where an MU researcher is a co-author.

Interdisciplinary research projects
The support is open to research teams composed of academics and researchers covering a topic across at least two scientific domains out of the three possible ones: Physical Sciences and Computer Science, Life Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities.
Individuals from departments outside MU may participate in the research without any reimbursement of costs. Research topics must be interdisciplinary, innovative and of high added value, and those that are generally not supported by other sources and have not been addressed at MU before.
The aim is to initiate interdisciplinary collaborations on new topics; to produce preliminary results to test the feasibility of ambitious interdisciplinary projects; to prepare the "groundwork" for external grant applications (ERC Synergy, etc.).
- Allocation: 6 million CZK/year
- Estimated number of projects: 3 projects
- Annual project budget: 2 million CZK/year
- Project duration: 3 years
