The research activities of the institute are focused on preclinical testing of new biologically active substances, especially in relation to cancer, endocrine and metabolic disorders.
The research projects are mainly focused on biological evaluation of new materials, potential haemostatic agents and medical devices for wound care.
In the clinical field, the focus is on the efficacy of pharmacotherapy and the incidence of adverse effects of treatment.
